Even Tinier Groot: Guardians Of The Galaxy Pin Mates To Debut At Toy Fair NY

by Staff

Pin Mates seem to be expanding in popularity at a fairly rapid pace, even making appearances in major chains like Barnes & Noble and popping up in local comic shops. These diminutive wooden scuptures are painted in detail to resemble pop culture characters and are painted on their bases with numerical IDs. The feel is somewhat boutique and offers an alternative collectible range to the dominance of vinyl on the market.

Toy Fair New York, happening later this week in the Big Apple will bring with it a host of debuts, announcements, and first looks. Ahead of Toy Fair, Entertainment Earth have announced the Guardians of the Galaxy line of Pin Mates and that the figures are currently in stock on their website. Masked Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, and Rocket are featured releases.

They have a certain round-wooden-object appeal, don’t they? And guaranteed they’ll take up less space on your desk than many other collectibles. These little guys come individually packaged:

They come with an affordable price tag at $4.99 each. And yes, this Groot, at 2 inches, is even tinier than baby Groot in the upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

But can they dance like GoGV2 director James Gunn? Maybe with the right music.

This is me dancing btw. #groot #babygroot #grooting #gotgvol2
