X-Men Prime #1 is arriving in a few weeks, on March 29th, and is written by Mark Guggenheim, Cullen Bunn, and Greg Pak. It’s drawn by Ken Lashley, Leonard Kirk, and Ibraim Roberson.
So what’s the deal with X-Men Prime, and why should we get on board? Well, it’s an over-sized one-shot, which helps give a distinctive jumping on point. But for me, the fact that Kitty Pryde is featured front and center possibly leading the X-Men is appealing. The fact that she’s prominent on the main cover, but only one of the variant covers makes me wonder if she’s really going to get enough spotlight, though. This issue is going to set up the upcoming X-Men Gold, so it’s a good place to get an idea of whether that’s going to be your cup of tea.
