Denver Comic Con has been wowing the geek community for a few years now for including a massive “group wedding” in their main hall at the end of the convention, cosplay themed and replete with geeky vows.
This year, the wedding will take place on July 2nd, 2017, and if you’re thinking about tying the knot, you can still apply for inclusion in this event, which has attendees from the convention as a whole.
According to Denver Comic Con, this geek-themed group Unity Wedding is open to all LGBT and straight couples. Couples are encouraged to wear costumes of their favorite pop culture characters. The ceremony will feature a licensed officiant and pop-culture-themed wedding vows. Any Denver Comic Con attendee with a 3-day or Sunday badge will be allowed to attend.
Here are the rules for inclusion:
-If you are chosen to participate, you are responsible for applying for your own marriage license;
-You must show proof of marriage license application on or before Monday, June 5, 2017 or you will be disqualified from participating in our group wedding.
