Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 Moves Toward Development Along With Two Other Projects At AMC

by Staff

AMC announced via press release on May 31st that Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 was one of three projects that were moving into potential development for series. NOS4A2 is a horror novel written by Joe Hill that spun off into an IDW comic series written by Hill and illustrated by Charles Paul Wilson III, Wraith. Hill’s extremely popular comic series with Gabriel Rodriguez, Locke & Key, also from IDW, is currently in production with Hulu.

According to AMC, the first step in the process of developing these three shows is “opening writers’ rooms” for the following:

NOS4A2 from Jami O’Brien (Hell On Wheels, Fear the Walking Dead); Pandora, from Sam Vincent & Jonathan Brackley (Humans, MI-5); and Silent History, from Claire Carré & Charles Spano, (Embers).

According to AMC, these projects are being developed as part of AMC’s “scripts-to-series” model. In this approach, AMC skips the pilot process and instead opens writers’ rooms to develop scripts a takes a “detailed look at a potential first season” before deciding on a straight-to-series order.

Here’s a little more information they’ve released about these projects in development:
