What Would You Do To Get Out Of A Dead-End Life? Bottled From Top Shelf In September

by Staff

Coming up this September, we have new graphic novel from Top Shelf, Bottled by Chris Gooch. What looks to be a haunting tale of suburban alienation and the nuances of friendship and frenemy relationships, Bottled is not a cozy little book. It toes the line between drama and thriller in tone.

In Bottled, Jane is sick of living in the suburbs, and seeking some form of change. When her old friend Natalie, who has been living in Japan as a fashion model, is back in town, Jane seeks out a way to force her friend into doing her a favor.  Australian cartoonist Chris Gooch creates his debut graphic novel in Bottled, and the book is touted as having elements of “body horror” and “Greek tragedy” to round things off.
