Titan Comics have announced that they will be publishing a graphic novel adaptation of The Beatles’ The Yellow Submarine written and illustrated by Bill Morrison in honor of the film’s 50th Anniversary in 2018.

Titan  have made a deal with Apple Corps Ltd to publish the official graphic novel adaptation of the animated film.
The Beatles: Yellow Submarine movie (originally released in 1968) is an animated musical fantasy film inspired by the music of The Beatles. In the film, Paul, John, George and Ringo agree to accompany Captain Fred in his Yellow Submarine and go to Pepperland to free it from the music-hating Blue Meanies.

Bill Morrison, who will write and illustrate the adaptation, is also the writer and artist from The Simpsons Comics. As a huge fan of The Beatles, this has been a project “twenty years in the making” for Morrison.

The Beatles: Yellow Submarine official graphic novel adaptation from Titan is due to hit stores in 2018.
