Ant-Man and the Wasp began production today, and Marvel was more than happy to announce the news with a special video reveal.

I’ve been on sets so I know how properly placed director’s chairs matter. Even when one is miniaturized.

The film will see Evangeline Lily’s Hope Van Dyne join Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang in the costumed hero business. It’s a role she’s been preparing for all her life. But according to a synopsis of the film, Scott and Hope will have to work together to uncover more secrets from the Pym family past. Michael Douglas also returns as reclusive inventor Hank Pym while Michelle Pfeiffer joins the group as the long-missing Janet Van Dyne. Other returning cast members include Michael Peña and Judy Greer. The film will also feature Laurence Fishburne, Fresh Off The Boat‘s Randall Park, T.I., The Shield‘s Walton Goggins and Killjoy‘s Hannah John-Kamen.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens on July 8th, 2018.
