Lotor Gets The Upper Hand In New Voltron: Legendary Defender Trailer

by Erik Amaya

Dreamworks has released a new trailer for the upcoming third season of Voltron: Legendary Defender and it is all about Prince Lotor.

AJ LoCascio gives voice to Lotor, the popular adversary from the original Voltron. This time around, though, he egomania appears tempered by a willingness to take up his father’s cause. He’s also willing to recruit half-Galra to bolster the ranks of his fleet. As executive producer Lauren Montgomery mentioned at Comic-Con, he has “a different approach” to ruling the universe. And from the trailer, that approach seems to be working. The Paladins are still without Shiro or the Black Lion. And despite Alura’s suggestion that they find a new Black Paladin, Keith appears intent in restoring Shrio to that position.

And, to be honest, Keith’s such a drip that I hope Shiro finds his way back to the team, too.

But I won’t have to wait to long to see if the Paladins can defeat — or at least hamper — Lotor. Volron: Legendary Defender returns to Netflix this Friday.
