A Second Cornetto: Hot Fuzz Prints And Vinyl From Mondo With Art By Jock

by Oliver MacNamee

Coming (and going, going, gone) starting this Wednesday 2nd August from Mondo are two items any fan of Simon Pegg may want to consider adding to their collection. Firstly we have a 36″x24″ screen print celebrating 10 years of Hot Fuzz with a print run of only 425 pieces designed by comic book maestro, Jock.

You may have seen his earlier work on Mondo’s Shaun of The Dead prints from 2014, so this makes for an excellent companion piece. I have no doubt a third print based on the third of the Cornetto Trilogy, The World’s End, will be out one day too.

Update: The prints have already sold out. But, the vinyl soundtrack sporting a cover by Jock is still on the list.

Jock’s poster features the citizens of Sandford (Village of the Year) closing in on our two favorite policeman-officers, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) and Danny Butterman (Nick Frost).

But, if you have failed to get your mittens on a copy of the limited edition screen print, there’s always the vinyl soundtrack, with a rather fetching ‘Crown Ale’ design to it. I could drink it right up!

Music Composed by David Arnold. Artwork by Jock. Liner notes by Edgar Wright and David Arnold. Pressed on 180 Gram Crown-Ale colored vinyl (also available on 180 Gram black vinyl).

Both are out now but with only the fetching looking vinyl still out there, I’d get in while you can.
