Star Wars K-S20 Variant Cover Leaked For Cassian & K-S20 Comic

by Oliver MacNamee

Looks like the K-S20 is out of the bag on the next John Tyler Christopher Star Wars Action Figure variant cover, thanks, it would seem, to an over zealous Duane Swierczynski, writer of the upcoming Cassian and K-2SO mini-series from Marvel, via his Instagram account. Looking at the cover, I can’t blame him. Who wouldn’t want to share this awesome cover?

Still, this has led to John Tyler Christopher making it more official–although, not totally so–over on his Facebook page. This does mean that the K-S20 variant will be on sale around about the same time as his Mace Windu variant (Something the artist tries to avoid), but for those with a healthier bank balance, I’m sure you’re not complaining too much.

I’ve been planning this dude for awhile, I’m going to be doing a K-2SO for Cassian & K-2SO #1. I was originally going to do him for Rogue One #1, but when Krennic came about, I thought it would be best to hold off. I’ve always said that I would do everything in my power to not have 2 exclusives in the same month (mine or someone else’s), so when I heard about Cassian & K-2SO, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity. Once everything was done, and files were at the printer; I found out that Mace was going to be released shortly after. The guys that are doing Mace seemed really cool, so I didn’t want to steal their thunder; so I decided to hold off for a month.

So with all that said, there will be an official announcement later in the month regarding the book. It will be just like all the times before. When it comes, just try and act surprised.

For now, have this one on us.
