On August 23rd 2000AD will be officially launching their new park-work collection, to be published fortnightly as a live Facebook event. The first issue–priced at just £1.99–reprints the Sláine seminal classic The Horned God, by Pat Mills and Simon Bisley, in it’s entirety. And, after 40 years of thrill-power, this is a great story to kick the collection off with.
But, there’s more.
Here at Comicon.com we have an exclusive reveal of what you could win as part of the live launch.
There will be 6 prizes in all, offered even 2000 seconds (geddit?) and here’s just one: a replica of Dredd’s own lawgiver courtesy of Planet Replicas which you can see more of here.
As well as the social media launch, over in the capital–that there fancy London to you and me–artist Boo Cook, who has designed the spine art for the entire series, will be signing at Forbidden Planet, Shaftesbury Avenue, (that there fancy) London from 6pm.-7pm. So, get in quick if you’re around that night.
It’s a great way to launch such a collection and you can read my review of issue 1 this weekend in my regular ‘Something For The Weekend’ column.
If there is any bad new, it’s that this collection isn’t available in the Colonies. Yet.
