Grant Morrison’s Happy! Shifts Premiere Dates

Those excited for the Syfy series Happy! will have to wait a little longer.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the series, originally scheduled for November 29th, will now debut on December 5th. Based on the graphic novel by Grant Morrison and Darrick Robertson, Happy! stars Christopher Meloni as Nick Sax, a carousing cop turned hit-man whose life gets a shot of optimism from self-proclaimed imaginary friend named Happy. He presents himself as a stuffed winged horse and tells Nick that he is the only man who can save his real best friend, a little girl in trouble. Mystery Science Theater 3000‘s Patton Oswalt lends his voice to Happy.

Morrison co-wrote the pilot episode with Crank co-director Brian Taylor, who also directs.

I’ve been looking forward to the series for sometime. Mainly because Morrison and Taylor are a wild mix of ideas. How wild? Take a look at this trailer for Happy!

Hopefully the series will live up to this brief tease when it debuts on December 6th.
