by Hannah Means Shannon

Dark Horse is going to be expanding their already substantial line of books known as The Neil Gaiman Library with the adaptation of a Gaiman tale illustrated by the great Rafael Albuquerque(Ei8ht, American Vampire).

A Study in Emerald is a “supernatural mystery” set in the combined worlds of Sherlock Holmes and H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. The story features Holmes and Watson as they attempt to solve a “horrific murder of cosmic proportions”.

Rafael Scavone, co-founder of publisher Stout Club with Albuquerque and writer of Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary Special #1, will be taking part in the adaption process on the story, and Dave Stewart (Black Hammer, Hellboy) will bring his all-star colors to the book. The cover on the book will also be by Albuquerque.

A Study in Emerald will be arriving in shops next summer, on June 20th, 2018. The 80-page hardcover will retail for $17.99.
