Composed by Christopher Young (The Fly 2, Spider-man 3, Def-Con 4) back in the day, it’s an exquisite synch sounding blast from the past and a score familiar to any Cenobite fans out there. Rather than stick with the prevailing synth sounds of the era, Young went for an symphonic score which has stranded the test of time. Or not, depending on if you’re a fan our not, I suppose.
Well, this Wednesday, Death Waltz Records, in conjunction with Lakeshore Records is releasing the original Hellraiser score on coloured 180grams vinyl with a lot of additional goodies too. Either as a bog standard long player or as a super up, bells and whistles, 7″ boxed set. Here’s the details:
The soundtrack is fully remastered from the original 2-inch master reels by Christopher Young himself, and we have two versions available: a limited edition Mondo exclusive gatefold LP pressed on Gold and Brown vinyl featuring incredible new artwork by Matt Ryan Tobin, as well as a stunning limited edition 7-inch box set featuring the entire LP split across six 7-inch singles, each with an exclusive cover that sits within your very own Lament Configuration box set!
And, here’s what you’ll get:
Both are available this Wednesday onwards from Death Waltz Records.
