The New Mutants Teaser Makes A Late Night Debut

by Erik Amaya

It’s a new era for 20th Century Fox’s X-Men as New Mutants unveils its first teaser. The film stars stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, and Blu Hunt as a group of adolescent mutants apparently trying to save themselves from a secret mutant research facility while still dealing with their emerging powers.

Last month, Fox chairman and CEO Stacey Snider described the group as of mutants going through a tough adolescence. “The only solution is to put them in a Breakfast Club detention/Cuckoo’s Nest institutional setting. It protects the people on the outside, but it’s strange and combustible inside,” she explained. She also indicated the New Mutants will not be saving the world. Instead, their film debut will be more like “a haunted-house movie with a bunch of hormonal teenagers.”

Take a look at the trailer for yourself and see if her description was correct.

New Mutants opens on April 13th, 2018.
