Dark Horse’s Legend Of Zelda Encyclopedia Reaches For The Gold With Deluxe Edition

by Hannah Means Shannon

We’ve previously announced that Dark Horse is completing their Legend of Zelda trilogy of video game art books with The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia. Now they’ve added to that news by revealing a special gold-colored deluxe edition will also be released.

The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia Deluxe Edition recreates the look of the original gold cartridge of the game in its cover and presentation case.

Check out these details:

The cover is gold foil paper with gloss lamination and a spot gritty varnish. The details are embossed and debossed. It has gold gilding on the top and fore-edge, with black gilding on the bottom. The book comes with a black polypropylene sleeve, lined with velvet flocking, and a scale instruction booklet.

The book itself consists of a 320-page guide to The Legend of Zelda franchise from the original The Legend of Zelda to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. The guide describes “enemies and items, potions and foes, an expansion of the lore”, and much more.

Both editions of The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia go on sale April 24, 2018. The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia Deluxe Edition retails for $79.99 and is available for preorder on Amazon, Things From Another World, and at your local comic shop.
