Good Omens Finds Three Of Its Horsemen And A Beelzebub

Amazon’s Good Omens continues to expand with word that three of the four Horseman and the demon Beelzebub have been cast.

According to Deadline, Mireille Enos, Lourdes Faberas and Yusuf Gatewood will play War, Pollution (taking over for Pestilence) and Famine. The last of the horseman, a rider of a pale horse whose name is Death, has not been cast as co-creator Neil Gaiman is cheekily hoping his other version of Death will take the part.

Or maybe he’s holding out for the Death from co-creator Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series.

Additionally, Anna Maxwell Martin will play Beelzebub, the lord of flies with her own interest in bringing about the Apocalypse.

The series, based on the Gaiman and Pratchett’s 1990 novel, focuses on Crowley (David Tennant), the original Eden serpent, and Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), the Guardian of the East Gate of Heaven, as they seek out the Antichrist while the world heads into its final hours of tribulation. Their aim is to halt the End of All Things as they’ve come to enjoy their lives in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Antichrist grows up in a quiet Oxfordshire town. Besides Tennant and Sheen, Jon Hamm will also appear as the archangel Gabriel

The series is currently shooting and is expected to debut on Amazon Prime in 2019.
