Grant Morrison Talks Atom Bombs, Jacked Santa And Comics On Late Night

by Erik Amaya

Happy! creator Grant Morrison appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night and while the audience seemed confused by the Scottish writer of The Invisibles, The Filth and other books, Meyers himself looked thrilled to be talking to the writer.

Which only makes sense if you read his work.

Their discussion ranges from a mention of Happy! to Morrison’s current Klaus comic book to topics the author covered in his book Supergods: What Masked Vigilantes, Miraculous Mutants, and a Sun God from Smallville Can Teach Us About Being Human. It’s a fun, if all too brief, segment which illustrates Morrison’s command of storytelling and his geeky appeal. It’s just a shame the audience didn’t seem to understand him.

Happy! airs Wednesdays on Syfy.
