Dungeon Runs, Digital Comics, And More: Hearthstone Kobolds & Catacombs

by Christine Marie Attardo

It wasn’t until I found myself a few bosses in playing the new dungeon run feature of Hearthstone’s latest expansion Kobolds & Catacombs that I realized I recognized a character from playing World of Warcraft. His name? Candlebeard. Then I thought, well that makes sense because we get to see a lot of the same characters, but what a unique choice!

Might I say, the dungeon run feature of the game has been the sole reason why I’ve gotten back into the game. I was discouraged by the solo adventure for Knights of the Frozen Throneso much so, that I stopped playing. Now, I feel like I’m back in the game…despite how difficult it is! I find that the mechanic to gain your cards (and special powers) randomly is very intriguing.

…but that’s not all! Blizzard has also introduced a digital comic for the expansion which is a really fun read. It’s called, Up Comes Down. Check it out here.

You can also see how it’s all made possible with this feature below…

This is the kind of stuff that really brings me into a full, fun experience with games. Blizzard is hitting a lot of different types of media, which in turn makes for a well rounded experience. All in all, I’m addicted again. How about you? What are your thoughts on the latest Hearthstone expansion, Kobolds & Catacombs?
