An Exclusive Look At The Ninja Programme’s First Female Agent In Ninja-K #4

by Hannah Means Shannon

Coming up on February 14th, 2018, we’ll meet another new player in the history of the Ninja Programme, one that’s been unfolding for readers in the series Ninja-K from Valiant.  Issue #4 will introduce the first female agent, also a person of color, who took part in the Ninja Programme, Ninja-G, and she’s ready to tell her story.

In a series written by Christos Gage, with art by Juan Jose Ryp and Ariel Olivetti, we’re following a current storyline where Ninjak, now revealed as Ninja-K, has learned that various retired members of the Ninja Programme are being assassinated, and it’s a storytelling chance for us to learn the history of the Programme and its former agents.

Issue #4 is hailed as a jumping-on point for readers, and features covers by CAFU, Adam Pollina, Roberto De La Torre, and Juan Jose Ryp.

We join the story of the Ninja Programme in issue #4 during 1970s Britain, where MI-6’s covert operation has just activated its first female agent: Ninja-G.

MI-6’s new recruit encounters “double agents, double crosses, and dueling nation” and  she’ll journey between Britain and the Soviet Bloc on her missions. Those very same missions may have something to do with why the retired ninjas of the Programme are being assassinated in the modern day.
