It’s Lights Out For The Lighthouse In A Preview Of Next Week’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Just when it seemed like the unlucky team on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared to be making some headway, things took a turn for the worse. Robin (Willow Hale) — the Inhuman seer who experiences all of her life in a constant jumble of past, present and future — was unable to give Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) team the information they needed to get back home. But she may have offered May (Ming-Na Wen) a few pointers just before the end there. Meanwhile, from another of Robin’s standpoints, Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) has designed a machine that will allow their younger selves to travel through time; though he strenuously objects to the notion that they can change history. It seems the team will be fighting Destiny himself once they deal with the most urgent crisis: saving the human race.

And as this preview of next week’s episode illustrates, humanity is in trouble as Kasius (Dominic Rains) appears ready to unleash his final weapon of destruction upon the Lighthouse. Will the team on the surface make it back there in time? Will Daisy (Chloe Bennet) get control of her powers back before her fight with Sinara (Florence Faivra)? And, perhaps most importantly, will Flint’s (Coy Stewart) fusion power allow him to fit the Earth back together?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Fridays on ABC.
