The Flash‘s new status quo sort of works. While Barry (Grant Gustin) languishes at Iron Heights Prison, Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) gets a crash course in being the city’s protector. It lead to a pretty funny plot as Ralph took on Trickster Jr. (Devon Graye) and his mother, Prank (Corinne Bohrer). Meanwhile, Barry learned about some of the good his father did in Iron Heights. It means an equal split between the lighter season the producers promised back in September and the irresistible urge to torture Barry. And it actually makes the Barry plot easier to stomach.
It also appears to be the driving force in next week’s episode if this preview is any indication. Barry’s new prison pal Big Sir (Bill Goldberg) was apparently wrongly convicted, but the real perpetrator has a shrinking gun; which works its magic on Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Ralph. Can Team Flash embiggen them in time to save the day or will the pair drive each other crazy first?
The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.
