As you have read in the headline, Gears Of War: The Rise Of RAAM #1 has sold out at the distributor level and is being rushed back for a second printing immediately.
IDW’s Senior Editor Denton Tipton says:
(I) Couldn’t be more thrilled with the response to this series. Between the engrossing storytelling of Kurtis and Max bringing his A-game visuals to this series, the whole team has earned this victory and we’re very proud of the results. We hope we can get it into as many fans’ hands as possible!
This second printing, with the black and white cover shown here, is scheduled for release on 2/21, the same date that issue 2 drops. So, if you do miss out on this debut issue we’ve recently previewed here, then you can aim to catch up in just under a month. Or, seek out issue 1 first printing out this week.
Scripted by Kurtis Wiebe (Rat Queens) with art by Max Dunbar (First Strike), colors by Jose Luis Rio, and letters by Gilberto Lazcano, this essential story in the ongoing saga explores the most iconic villain in the Gears of War universe, General RAAM! Years before he became the bane of humanity on Emergence Day, RAAM rose through the ranks to take leadership of the Locust Horde armies thanks to his intelligence, strength, and ruthlessness, and now fans can witness the untold tale of his vicious ascent.
Gears Of War: The Rise Of RAAM #1 is out now from IDW and Coalition.
