Meet A Girl Who Travels In Her Dreams In OGN Alice: From Dream To Dream

by Hannah Means Shannon

Boom! Studios have announced a new original graphic novel arriving in September 2018 that will take us inside the life–and dreams–of a young girl.

Author & illustrator Giulio Macaione (Basilicò) presents the story of Alice, who’s moved back to Cincinnati and is stuck sharing a bedroom with her brother, and finds herself sharing his dreams, too. Alongside her best friend, Jamie, Alice discovers there are plenty of secrets buried in their small town best explored in dreams.

Macaione says:

I’ve always wanted to tell a story about dreams and what they mean for us. But what if we could see the dreams of others? Could we look at our family and friends as usual if we knew their intimate thoughts and what’s inside their mind? I was thinking about this when I visited the wonderful Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati (where I lived for a couple of years), and it’s from there the story came. ALICE: FROM DREAM TO DREAM is a story about dreams, family and the power of friendship.

Shannon Watters, Editor, at Boom! Studios reflects:

ALICE: FROM DREAM TO DREAM is a gorgeously drawn look into the dreams, good and bad, that drive us all forward. Giulio is bringing an unforgettable supernatural flair to this journey of becoming and self-discovery.

Print copies of Alice: From Dream to Dream will arrive in comic shops in September 2018 and in bookstores from October 2018 onward.
