Following yesterdays 45 second trailer teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story, Disney released the full trailer this morning on Good Morning America because corporate synergy is good for us all. But also good is this glimpse into Han Solo’s (Alden Ehrenreich) journey from Imperial Academy cadet to pilot of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Also along for the ride are Emilia Clarke, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, proving you can recast a beloved part correctly.

That isn’t to say Ehrenreich isn’t the right person to play a young Solo. He is. In fact, there are none better who could possibly play the part. But it remains to be seen if the whole endeavor will work. After replacing directors, it will be interesting to see if Solo can make the Kessel Run in less than 21 parsecs, so to say.
Solo: A Star Wars Story opens on May 25th.
