Pokemon Day 2018: The ‘Very Best’ Collectibles For Fans

by Christine Marie Attardo

Well it wouldn’t be Pokemon Day if we weren’t given more opportunities to spend money on awesome collectibles. When I was a kid, I had over a hundred Pokemon figurines. With that said, they were pretty cheap looking and didn’t have much detail. This generation of fans have been gifted with products like this…

Pretty sweet, huh? That’s one heck of a pose. They’re called Gallery Figures and this Umbreon figure runs for $16.99. Here are a few more…

As you can see they are pretty small, but detailed and specific to that Pokemon’s moves.

Enter Charizard…

Here’s what Pokemon International had to say:

“Last year on Pokémon Day, the Pokémon Center launched Pokémon Gallery Figures—an exclusive line of premium display-ready figures. For Pokémon Day 2018, it’s going even bigger by introducing a new, larger-scale line of these collectibles. Charizard is featured as the first-ever Pokémon Gallery Figure DX, with the iconic Fire-type Pokémon unleashing its signature Blast Burn move in a dynamic pose.”

Take a closer look:

This figure is much bigger than the others, but it runs for a little more money. With that said, I think it looks like it’s worth $28.99. Check out the full list of figures available here. I’m sure we will be seeing more in the future.
