The obligatory swag shot from a major comic convention is coming a bit late as I’m still struggling to pack the contents into my luggage and leave Seattle–wish me luck! It’s a close race between the great scavenging opportunities in the gigantic artists alley at Emerald City Comic Con and the really stellar food in a town like Seattle.
But here’s the swag at least. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve seen plenty of the food, too.
I consciously tried to avoid filling my small suitcase this time around, but I wasn’t very successful. Here you’ll see contributing comics from Rafer Roberts, John Lees & Jules Rivera and more, current comics from Jacob Semahn and Jorge Corona, an ashcan for Black Crown’s Punks Not Dead, Dark Horse weighing in with an Elfquest Ashcan where I wrote the apparently very well reviewed (already!) essay on the history of the famous property, a beautiful edition of the American Gods comics, and not to be forgotten, the Funko vinyls that no one can resist. Oh and getting Kyle Starks to sign my copy of Kill Them All from Oni Press was a highlight of the show for real! I finally met the man who has made me laugh out loud inappropriately with almost every page he’s created in comics. Bless.
Don’t forget that ultra-rare Valiant bumper sticker for Harbinger Wars 2 that I kinda stole, but shhhhh….
