Crime Noir Classic Clover Honey Gets An ‘Artist’s Cut’ Edition From Image

by Hannah Means Shannon

Clover Honey is a classic work of comic art and the book that launched Rich Tommaso’s name in the industry in 1995. In the wake of Image’s publication of She Wolf, Spy Seal, and the current series, Dry County, Image will be publishing an “Artist’s Cut” edition of Clover Honey that’s been “redrawn, relettered, and redesigned” by Tommaso.

Tommaso explains:

Inspired by Jim Jarmusch’s Stranger Than Paradise, Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, and Alfred Hitchcock’s North By Northwest, this new print is the definitive edition of CLOVER HONEY, my very first crime novel, set in my home state of northern New Jersey.

Clover Honey features an “aspiring hitwoman” Abigail sets out to hunt down her cousin and former mentor who is on the run with a briefcase full of mob cash.

Image says: “She’ll have to brave the wilds of Newark, overpriced parking, traffic jams, and bad hair days to get the job done.”

Clover Honey Special Edition (ISBN: 978-1-5343-0796-4, Diamond code: FEB180544) hits comic shops on Wednesday, April 11th. The final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is today, Monday, March 12th, 2018.

It will arrive in bookstores Tuesday, April 17th and is available for preorder via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Indiebound, Indigo, and Books-A-Million.
