Ralph And Barry Fail To Grasp The Gravity Of Their Situation In A Preview Of The Next Episode Of The Flash

by Erik Amaya

The Flash is going dark for the next few weeks as part of the usual early spring hiatus. But when it returns, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) face a spiriting foe when the latest meta to arrive in Central City can just fill her opponents with helium. For Ralph, it means some well-chosen jokes and references. For the Flash, it means peak annoyance with an enemy who can ground him by lifting him high above it.

At the same time, the conversation about Ralph getting compulsively jokey when he gets scared is worth noting. He also eats junk food when he’s scared. And he insults people. Ralph has a lot of nervous ticks, doesn’t he? Granted, he’s been my favorite thing about the show all year as the bus meta plot continues to drag on. But with only two metas remaining unrevealed, DeVoe’s plan will soon come into focus. Well, hopefully, anyway.

The Flash returns April 10th on The CW.
