The Legends are up four totems to Mallus’s (John Noble) one, but the mission is far from over for the team on Legends of Tomorrow. There’s still the Darhks to consider — though Damien’s (Neal McDonough) confidence in his alliance with a demon from beyond time is wavering — and, as seen in this preview of next week’s show, Grodd seems poised to make a major alteration to the timeline. What would things be like if Barrack Obama’s career aspirations were snuffed out while he was still in college?
As always, the show mixes the absurd with a high quality cast. The heart-to-hear between Damien and Nate (Nick Zano) this week was one of the funniest things on the show yet; and that’s considering Zari’s (Tala Ashe) frustration with training Mick (Dominic Purcell). But embedded in their talk is the possibility that Damien will help the Legends in the end. Although, complicating that is Nora (Courtney Ford) and her loyalty to Mallus. How this plays out next week is anyone’s guess, but the show is pretty confident in its format at this point and the results will likely be … well, absurd.
Legends of Tomorrow airs Mondays on The CW.
