Caity Lotz To Make An Arrow Return For Season Finale

While Legends of Tomorrow wraps up its third season in the next two weeks, word comes that the Legends captain, Sara Lance, will make a return to Star City.

According to Collider, Caity Lotz will return to Arrow for its sixth season finale. While it’s currently unclear why she’s coming home — or what this means for the rest of the Waverider crew — feel free to speculate.

Lotz first appeared as Sara in the second season of Arrow, in which the character adopted the Canary persona and ultimately revealed she trained with the League of Assassins while Oliver (Stephen Amell) spent five years in hell. She eventually reconnected with her sister Laurel (Katie Cassidy), her father Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) and mother Dinah (Alex Kingston) before Nyssa Al Ghul (Katrina Law) arrived in town to bring her back to Nanda Parbat. Oh, there were also issues with Deathstroke (Manu Bennett), the mirakuru drug and a riot in the city. Also, Ollie and Sara briefly rekindled their affair before she ultimately chose to go back with Nyssa. She was killed in a Malcolm Merlyn plot at the beginning of season three, but was eventually resurrected and found a home with the other Legends.

Presumably Sara’s trip to Star City will take place after the Legends finale, meaning she’ll be safe after whatever Mallus (John Noble) pulls off in his bid to return to conventional spacetime. Then again, Legends is a time-travel show, and she could just be saying goodbye before things get really crazy in the timestream.

Alternatively, Sara may also have key information about the new ancient power Team Arrow will face in the coming weeks; leading to more credence that next year’s big bad threat will be revealed soon.

Arrow airs Thursdays on The CW.
