Nyssa Explains Thea’s Importance In A Clip From Tonight’s Arrow

by Erik Amaya

Arrow is back after a few weeks off and picks up right where it left off: with assassins looking to get a hold of Thea Queen (Willa Holland). As Nyssa Al Ghul (Katrina Law) explains in the following clip, Thea is key to a plot of the Thanatos Guild — a revial League of Shadows set up by Malcolm Merlyn before his death — to uncover a secret, ancient power. Thea, meanwhile, just wants to get out of town with Roy (Colton Haynes).

The ancient power must be the “greater threat” teased a few months ago by producers. To be honest, we could use a new threat as the Ricardo Diaz revenge plot is a rather damp squib. But considering the connections to Ra’s Al Ghul and Malcolm Merlyn, one wonders if the ancient power is supernatural in nature and if season seven will see the return of sorcery to Star City.
