Daisy Leads The Team As Ruby Attempts To Grab A Title In A Preview Of Next Week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Now that we have some idea how Daisy (Chloe Bennet) becomes the Destroyer of Worlds, Ruby Hale (Dove Cameron) wants her own shot at the title, as this preview of next week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reveals. But Daisy has another weight on her shoulders: running the team while Coulson (Clark Gregg) languishes in a former Hydra education facility.

Now we finally know what Ruby has been so interested in Daisy. We also know that a Hydra device may be the real culprit in Earth’s destruction. But can it be that easy? Like the rift at the Lighthouse, this may be another blind alley.

Meanwhile, you have to love all the references back to Captain America and Hydra’s game in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, right down to a young Sitwell hoping he’ll get placed within S.H.I.E.L.D. Come to the think of it, the show rarely names drops Marvel Cinematic Universe ideas this brazenly these days. Maybe it will be all connected again as we get closer to Avengers: Infinity War? That would be a major surprise, but a fun one I think.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Fridays on ABC.
