Dark Horse To Publish Danganronpa Sequel In September

Following the 2016-17 Danganronpa: The Animation series, Dark Horse Manga is going to be continuing the teenage murder mystery game in the three-volume Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair series.

Based on NIS America’s Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, the sequel to the original Danganronpa, the manga series Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair contains many scenes only alluded to, but never shown, in the game.

Writer and artist Kyousuke Suga (Persona 5: Comic à la Carte) delves deeper into the world Spike Chunsoft created and will also brings back “Despair Mail,” the fan art and cosplay section.

In Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair, a new class of students at Hope’s Peak Academy find themselves on a school trip to a tropical island that results in suspicion and death. “Ultimate Lucky Student” Nagito Komaeda is willing to kill anybody and everybody…including himself.

Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair goes on sale September 5, 2018, and is available for preorder on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and at your local comic shop. This 160-page volume retails for $12.99.
