The Leftoverse Carrie Coon To Voice Proxima Midnight In Avengers: Infinity War

If the cast of Avengers: Infinity War did not seem large enough, it is growing by at least one more person.

Variety reports The Leftovers Carrie Coon will lend her voice to Proxima Midnight, a member of Thanos’s Black Order. Created by Jonathan Hickman, she debuted (in full) in Infinity #1 with the rest of the Black Order. An expert combatant, she was ordered to retrieve the Infinity Gem held safe by Namor. She was defeated by Luke Cage and Spectrum, ultimately learning that Namor never even had the Gem to begin with. A life of betrayals, ignominious defeats and reality jumping followed.

Hopefully, the character will have a better showing in the upcoming film, in which she backs up Thanos (Josh Brolin) in his quest to assemble all of the Infinity Stones and destroy half the universe in order to save the other half. That presumably means half the Black Order will die as well. I wonder who she will betray to prove to Thanos that she is worthy of surviving.

Avengers: Infinity War opens in April 27th.
