The season 2 finale of Strangers Things showed us that things are still not exactly as they seem in Hawkins, Indiana, and I’m pretty excited for that. Netflix’s nostalgia sci-fi show has a special place in my heart and many other fans of the genre. Somehow, the second season managed to be just as good as the first, so I have very high hopes for a new season. It looks like there’s going to be a new character in town…

There’s a new mayor in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. Cary Elwes has been inducted into the Stranger Things fold as season 3’s Mayor Kline…While he was seen in shows like The Art of More and Life in Pieces, he’s still known to many as Westley from 1987’s The Princess Bride. His first memoir, released last year, was even called As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales From the Making of The Princess Bride.

Apparently he’s going to be a conflicted character. Not a shocker there. This show is constantly adding in surprising and interesting quirks to their characters. The big question is, will he live to see Season 4 and will we want him to?
