More Sellouts For Power Rangers: Shattered Grid With MMPR #26

by James Ferguson

I think it’s safe to say that Power Rangers: Shattered Grid is a hit. The mega-event from Boom! Studios and Saban Brands began with Go Go Power Rangers #8 and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25, both of which flew off the shelves, leading to second printings. Now the publisher has announced that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #26 has also sold out and a second printing is on the way, releasing on May 16th with issue #27.

In case you’re not up to speed, Shattered Grid has centered on the return of Lord Drakkon, the twisted alternate-reality version of Tommy Oliver. He’s formed a terrifying army and has vowed to take out the Power Rangers across time and space, starting with the Green Ranger from our world. Teams from across the 25 year history of the franchise will be involved in stopping this incredible force.

Dafna Pleban, Editor, Boom! Studios says:

BOOM! Studios & Saban Brands promised fans that Power Rangers: Shattered Grid would get bigger with every chapter – and now you’re seeing the death of Tommy Oliver was only the beginning. In the next few weeks, fans will discover even more iconic Power Rangers in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Annual #1, the origin of the Ranger Slayer in Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers #9 and a perfect jumping on point for new readers on Free Comic Book Day in an all-new special that’s, of course, free!

Brian Casentini, Executive Producer, Power Rangers Franchise adds:

The fandom’s amazing reaction to Power Rangers: Shattered Grid is everything we had hoped for and we are thrilled to see that the huge demand for the first issue of this saga continues with its second issue. If you’re a Power Rangers fan, this event simply cannot be missed!
