E3 2018: Nintendo Announces Details About Super Smash Bros. Ultimate For The Switch

by Christine Marie Attardo

Once I stopped lamenting that E3’s Nintendo Direct didn’t include any Animal Crossing news, I was able to feel excitement for some of the other fantastic games that are being released. The big hit has finally arrivedand it’s called Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Ultimate? I know what you’re thinking. What makes it so ultimate? Turns out, Nintendo has many reasons to call it such a name.

As I watched the Nintendo Direct, my eyes widened as the list of characters went on and on and on. When they say everyone is in the game, they truly mean it!

You name a Smash Bros fighter, they have it. There are 50+ playable characters in the game. There are also some customization that come with some of them. Link’s outfits were my favorite.

The fun news doesn’t stop there! Remember all of those game cube controllers you have lying around? Their purpose returns with Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

I’m beyond thrilled about this. Mostly because I play way better with a GameCube controller! All in all, the footage was pleasing and I am super pumped for this holiday season. The official release date for Super Smash Bros Ultimate is December 7, 2018.
