Boom! Studios have released a First Look at one of their most anticipated upcoming series from horror craftsmen Cullen Bunn and Jonas Scharf. Both are known for their chilling tales, so this should be quite a ride.
Bone Parish is a “chilling necromantic horror series” that kicks off in July with the tale of a new drug hitting the streets of New Orleans drawn from the ashes of the dead and capable of giving people hallucinogenic experiences based on the lives of the deceased. We’ll also be meeting the factions struggling to keep control of the drug as its popularity and demand sky-rockets.
This debut issue features a main cover by Lee Garbett (Lucifer) with variant covers by Rod Reis (Doctor Strange: Damnation) and Tyler Crook (Harrow County).
Eric Harburn, Senior Editor at Boom! Studios says:
At its heart, BONE PARISH is a story about family—how we define it, how we do right by it, and the choices we make to preserve it. This is an unflinching look at how we connect to—and disconnect from—the world around us, wrapped in a special kind of horror crime story that only Cullen, Jonas, Alex, and Ed could deliver.
Here’s that First Look!
