Ryan Ferrier & Alejandro Aragon Launch Ultra-Violent ‘Death Orb’ At Dark Horse

by Hannah Means Shannon

Dark Horse have announced a new series for September 2018 from Ryan Ferrier (D4VE, Kennel House Blues) and Alejandro Aragon (28 Days Later) in Death Orb, a “fast-paced manga-style action adventure”.

The series promises a “post-apocalyptic American landscape filled with death cults, raiders, mutant psychics and mad scientists”. So, it’s not exactly a quiet, contemplative book we’re guessing.

Our main character is called Rider, and he’s “a heartbroken, axe-wielding wasteland survivor” looking for his wife and son. He comes across a mysterious death cult led by “Father, a demented idealist determined to rebuild the world in his image through the use of the deadly titular death orb.”

But there is also going to be “biker assassins, mech-suited mutants, and unspeakable depravity”.

Described as an “ultra-violent tale”, so not one for the kiddies, Death Orb #1 (of five) goes on sale October 3, 2018, and is available for pre-order at your local comic shop.
