Defend The Universe With The New Lego Ideas Voltron Set

by Gary Catig

Lego Ideas is a website that allows anyone, from the biggest die-hard fan to a casual collector, to participate in the creative process in the development of new construction sets. People can submit their ideas and if they gain enough support and approval from a Lego review board, their dreams can become a reality. It will be produced and become commercially available. You can even receive royalties off of the sales.

The latest Ideas addition is the recently announced Voltron: Defenders of the Universe. The set will contain 2,321 pieces and retail for $179.99 thus being the largest and most expensive collection from the line. You can build each lion separately and then combine them to form the legendary robot. In addition, Voltron comes with his sword and shield so he can fight off any threat from the Galra Empire.

You won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on this exciting set.  According to Nerdist, it will make its debut at San Diego Comic Con. If you’re not attending the show, it will be available July 23 for VIP early access and August 1 for everyone else.
