It’s official folks, Marvel’s, Captain Marvelhas officially finished filming as confirmed by lead actress Brie Larson. The female power is growing with this epic film, set to release next year and I couldn’t be more excited.
Larson shared on Twitter:
That is one cool looking clapboard if you ask me. Look at all of those lovely signatures. So, according to the calendar it looks like Captain Marvel might be resting at home after a long shoot. I love how the word “Freedom” is spread across this week.
According to IGN:
Captain Marvel will be breaking barriers as the first MCU film to feature a female lead character, as well as having hired the first female composer for any MCU or superhero movie, as we learned last month when Pinar Toprak was signed on to score the film.
That’s a wonderful thing to hear. While we have experienced some epic female roles in recent superhero films, it’s going to be awesome to see one led from Marvel in this one. Wonder Woman was incredibly successful for DC, so I’m hoping Captain Marvel does the same for Marvel.
The movie is currently set to release on March 8, 2019.
