Boom! Studios has released a first look at the second issue of the publisher’s ongoing series Bone Parish, a “necromantic horror series” from writer Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Unsound) and artist Jonas Scharf (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).
The story follows a new drug sweeping through the streets of New Orleans, one which is made from the ashes of the dead and produces visions of their life experiences.
Wars are being fought over who will control the supply, while demand only rises. One family must decide their own path as this dangerous conflict escalates.
Bone Parish was originally set to be a mini-series, but advance press and interest led to its extension to a 12 issue series.
Eric Harburn, Senior Editor, Boom! Studios, says:
We’re thrilled by the response BONE PARISH has received leading up to today’s release, and in Issue #2 Cullen, Jonas, Alex, and Ed take the story in some exciting, unexpected directions. The Winters family has unimaginable dark secrets, and as each one is revealed we’ll learn the deadly cost of the lives they’ve chosen.
Here’s our First Look at issue #2!
