Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back Might Be The Summer’s Most Entertaining Show

by Christine Marie Attardo

I’d be shocked if you told me you hadn’t watched a Gordon Ramsay show in your life. That could be because he has so many shows, but it’s also because he is quite amusing. I’ve watched every single one of his shows over the years. Maybe not every episode, but every new show, at least. This summer brings another new show from Ramsay, one that stems from the widely popular Kitchen Nightmares. It’s called 24 Hours to Hell and Back. Sounds nice, right?

Basically, it’s everything that Kitchen Nightmares was, condensed into 24 hours! That means he has to interview the staff, change the owners’ mindset, revamp the menu, refurbish the restaurant, and some things you can’t even imagine.

What makes it extra cool is…he has something called “Hell on Wheels” which is a 70-foot-long semi-truck that unfolds into a state-of-the-art, completely self-sustaining mobile kitchen, where he re-invents the struggling restaurant’s menu, and gives the staff a crash course in preparing things his way! I’m telling you, it’s so much fun to watch, and it looks like we’ll be watching more! 24 Hours to Hell and Back was renewed for a second season.

Rob Wade, President, Alternative Entertainment and Specials, Fox Broadcasting Company shared his thoughts on the show:

Gordon gives 100% in everything he does, and he took on the task of turning these restaurants around wholeheartedly…He may be these owners’ harshest critic, but he’s also their biggest champion, because he wants them to succeed. When all is said and done, it’s really Gordon’s heart that resonates with viewers, and we can’t wait to see who he helps save next season.

It’s one of my favorite shows to look forward to. You can watch the first few episodes right now on Hulu. A new episode will premiere on Wednesday, August 8th, at 9pm on Fox.
