Nintendo Switch Online Gets A Release Date And An Affordable Price

by Christine Marie Attardo

The Fall is bringing many exciting games, but it is also going to bring a new feature for owners of the Nintendo Switch! That’s right, we are going online folks! There has been a lot of speculation about Nintendo adding a paid online fee, but if you love Mario Kart as much as I do, you’ll be happy to pay.

Here’s what your membership will include:

-Online play in compatible games, including Splatoon™ 2, ARMS™, Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis™ Aces, and more.

-Nintendo Entertainment System™ – Nintendo Switch Online – A selection of classic NES™ games with newly added online play.

-Save Data Cloud Backup – Save your game data online for easy access*. This makes it easy to retrieve your game data if you lose your system or start using a new one.

This service will begin during the second half of September, so it’s right around the corner. You’ll be happy to know the pricing is very reasonable! For one year, it’s 19.99. Have more than one Nintendo account holder in your house? Don’t worry. You can get a family plan which covers seven people for a year for $34.99.
