Go Go Power Rangers from Boom! Studios has focused on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team shortly after they received their powers. The group is still reeling from the events of Shattered Grid, however they’ll have little time to rest. Their arch-enemy Rita Repulsa is working on a plan to retrieve an artifact that could be the key to beating Zordon and the Power Rangers once and for all: The Green Power Coin.
This October, Go Go Power Rangers #13 hits with a bang. The publisher has shared a first look at the issue, written by Ryan Parrott and illustrated by new series artist Eleonora Carlini. It will feature a main cover by former series artist Dan Mora and variant covers by Miguel Mercado, Audrey Mok, and Natacha Bustos.
Dafna Pleban, Senior Editor, Boom! Studios says:
After Shattered Grid, this is the only comic book series where you can see the five original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in action. Now we’re going to see the biggest story in Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers yet, as Ryan and Eleonora reveal a massive piece of Ranger history and take the team places you never imagined!
It sounds like Go Go Power Rangers will eventually bring in Tommy Oliver which would be fitting as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is shaking things up and focusing on an entirely new team of Rangers from across multiple groups. This will fill that void while maintaining the incredible character drama that Parrott has been delivering on this series. I cannot wait to see what he does with Tommy.
Go Go Power Rangers #13 is slated for release in October 2018.
