2018 Arrowverse Crossover To Be Titled “Elseworlds”

DC Comics’ Elseworlds returns!

Well, sort of. The term, coined in the 1990s for DC Comics’ line of out-of-continuity stories, emerges from the Hypertime bleed to become the title of the 2018 Arrowverse crossover, according to the official DC Comics Twitter account. These story, which spills into Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash will introduce the Earth-38 Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), the Arrowverse’s Gotham City and Batwoman (Ruby Rose). Cassandra Jean Amell will also appear as Nora Fries.

The title seemingly confirms our suspicions that the story will predominately take place off Earth-1, the home of Arrow and Flash. We presumed it will center on Supergirl‘s Earth-38, but the title suggests we may be seeing even more alternate Earths as the story unfolds. Or, considering the presence of Dr. John Deegan (Jeremy Davies) at Arkham Asylum, the Elseworlds may be manifestations of his abilities. Any version of this story sounds exciting, even if the cast of Legends of Tomorrow is sitting this one out.

Elseworlds airs in December on The CW.
