The 2018 Ringo Awards Winners Are…

Tonight at Baltimore Comic-Con, the winners of the second annual Ringo Awards were announced. Established in 2017, the Ringo Awards honor the legacy of Mike Wieringo and the spirit of his contribution to comics. The awards feature nominees and winners in several jury-voted categories.

The jury for this year included:

MICHAEL CAVNA

Cartoonist, journalist, and creator of The Washington Post‘s Eisner-nominated Comic Riffs column.

MARTY GROSSER

Editor of Diamond Comic Distributors’ PREVIEWS catalog.

KARLA MARSH-SOUTHERN

Event and Exhibitor Coordinator for Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find and the Heroes Convention, in Charlotte, NC.

ROB STULL

Illustrator, curator, teacher, penciler, inker, and designer with credits including: Tellos, Spider-Man Adventures, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and more!

GUS VAZQUEZ

Illustrator for comic books, trading cards, storyboarding, commercials, animation, film, and more with credits including Deadpool, X-Force, Sunfire, and Big Hero 6.
