Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans Teaser Offers A Fight Of Title Sequences

The next Teen Titans GO! outing will be a battle of tones.

As teased at the end of Teen Titans GO! to the Movies, the lighthearted Teen Titan interpretations will face their older and somewhat darker counterparts in Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans. The project was revealed on the forthcoming home video release of Teen Ttians GO! to the Movies and confirmed by Io9.

But as the site notes, it is unclear whether to project is an episode Teen Titans GO!, a direct-to-video release or a second theatrical film. The latter seems like a reach as the original Teen Titans cartoon is somewhat obscure. It’s available for all to see on DC Universe, so maybe the project will end up there. In any event, the return of the original cartoon’s character models and tone will be a welcome relief to fans, some of whom never enjoyed the paired down wackiness of Teen Titans GO! As the teaser above illustrates, the difference in tone may actually be the heart of the tale as the two visions of the Teen Titans clash for supremacy. Or maybe they’ll just fight for the last popsicle.

Teen Titans GO! vs. Teen Titans will debut sometime in 2019.
