Jaime Murray To Play Key Role In Gotham’s Final Season

Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will have a new nemesis as Gotham enters its final year.

Deadline reports Dexter veteran Jaime Murray will appear in the fifth and final season of Gotham as Theresa Walker, a new nemesis for Gordon with a “key role” in the upcoming plot and a deep dark secret because those are the only sort who come to Gotham City. A character breakdown unearthed during the summer described Walker as having a “major commitment to not just her mission, but also her family.”

She joins Shane West’s Eduardo Dorance/Bane as one of the final antagonists Jim will face prior to the arrival of the Bat-Man. And the Dark Knight could not a arrive at a better moment with Gotham cut off from the country and facing its own madness than ever before.

As previously mentioned, the season will mark the last for Gotham and will no doubt end with Bruce (David Mazouz) briefly glimpsed in his initial Bat-Man costume. Although, we’re sort of hoping the series bucks the trend and uses a portion of its final 12 episodes to establish Jim’s relationship with the city’s newest arrival. But considering his relatively close relationship to Bruce, will he ever think the Bat-Man is anyone but the last living Wayne?

Gotham returns January 3rd on FOX.
